Terms & Conditions

A legal disclaimer

Effective Date: 04/06/2025

Please take a moment to review my terms and conditions. These outline my role, your responsibilities, and important information about payments, cancellations, and travel policies. By working with me, you agree to the following:

1. Travel Documentation

It is your responsibility to ensure that all travelers have valid and up-to-date documentation required for travel—such as passports, visas, and vaccination records. I am not liable for disruptions or denied entry resulting from incomplete or invalid documents.

2. Payment & Booking

All payments must be made by the supplier’s due dates. Failure to do so may result in canceled reservations or the loss of deposits. Planning fees are paid separately via Stripe and are non-refundable. You will always be informed of the total amount before proceeding.

3. Cancellation Policy & Fee

Supplier cancellation policies vary (airlines, cruise lines, resorts, etc.). I will help you navigate cancellations, but I cannot guarantee refunds.

To help recover the time and commission lost when a trip is canceled, I charge a non-refundable cancellation fee, as follows:

  • Trips under $2,000: $50

  • $2,001–$4,999: $100

  • $5,000 and above: $150, or 7% of the trip total (whichever is greater, capped at $250)

This fee is separate from any penalties charged by the supplier and is due at the time of cancellation. You agree that this fee may be charged using your card on file.

4. Changes & Modifications

If you request changes to your itinerary after booking—such as travel dates, room categories, or upgrades—additional supplier fees may apply. I’ll always communicate any costs in advance and handle changes on your behalf whenever possible.

5. Travel Insurance

I highly recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect your trip against cancellations, medical emergencies, and travel delays. If you decline insurance, you assume full responsibility for any losses or expenses that may occur. A waiver may be required.

6. My Role & Liability

I act as an independent travel advisor and work with trusted third-party suppliers (like cruise lines, tour companies, and resorts). I’m not responsible for the actions, omissions, changes, or defaults of these suppliers, nor for delays, cancellations, or service interruptions beyond my control.

7. Communication & Support

I’m available Monday–Friday during normal business hours for updates, planning, and questions. I also offer support for urgent travel issues during your trip—but I may not be available 24/7 for non-urgent matters.

8. Privacy Policy

Your personal information is collected only for the purpose of planning and booking travel. I do not sell your data and will only share it with suppliers as needed to complete your trip.

9. Agreement

By working with Compass Travels with Lindsey and submitting your booking or planning form, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions, including the cancellation fee and payment policies.
